Terms of Service
Effective October 12, 2026
These terms govern your use of pocketchangepros.com, free accounts, our newsletter, the free Freelance Money Workbook and other downloads, and Freelance Money Kit. The site is operated by Rip & Ride LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. Educational information only, not tax advice
Our guides, calculator, tax calendar, downloads, emails and the Freelance Money Kit are general educational information about money for freelancers and the self-employed. They are not tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. Tax rules, rates, thresholds and due dates change every year and depend on your situation; check IRS.gov and your state tax agency, or work with a qualified tax professional. Calculator results are rough estimates based only on the numbers you enter and simplified assumptions; they are not a tax calculation. We do not prepare or file taxes.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or make a purchase.
3. Free accounts
- Accounts are free. You need a verified email address and a password.
- Keep your password confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account; tell us promptly if you think it's been misused.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or are used to abuse the site.
- Account holders receive account emails (verification and password resets), plus one email when the Freelance Money Kit is available only if they ask for it. The newsletter is separate and optional.
4. Freelance Money Kit
- When available, the Freelance Money Kit is a one-time purchase at the price shown on the kit page in US dollars, paid through our third-party payment provider. It is not a subscription.
- It is a set of digital templates (a spreadsheet and editable documents) for organizing your own records. It is not tax software and does not file anything.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
4a. Downloads
The free Freelance Money Workbook and member downloads are free for personal use. You may print and share them with your household, but not resell or republish them.
5. Email
We send the newsletter only to people who sign up and confirm by email, and you can unsubscribe at any time. See our Email and Anti-Spam Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the site to break the law, sign up other people without their permission, submit false information, interfere with the site's security or operation, scrape it in bulk, or send spam or harmful content through our forms.
7. Our content
The site's text, guides, downloads and the Freelance Money Kit are owned by Rip & Ride LLC and protected by copyright. You may print or save pages for personal, non-commercial use. Please link to us rather than copying our content.
8. Links to other sites
We may link to other websites, such as IRS, HealthCare.gov and state agency pages. We're not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't guarantee any tax result, saving or outcome.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rip & Ride LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, arising from your use of the site, guides or Freelance Money Kit, or from decisions you make based on them. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or Freelance Money Kit is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Rip & Ride LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law of your state of residence gives you the right to bring it where you live.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material, we'll notify members by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
